Craig is a co-founder of TREC, providing overall vision and management with an emphasis on sourcing and analyzing investments and stakeholder relations.

Experience:

• Directly responsible for the organization, equity sourcing, acquisition and operation of over $50 million of commercial real estate investments. (TREC.)

• Commercial real estate appraiser and consultant for over 35 years (Soderquist Appraisals Ltd.)

• Deeply involved in the professional and local community as board member, advisor and participant. Examples include:

  • Vice-president and Director of the Appraisal Institute of Canada

  • President and Director of the Alberta Association of the Appraisal Institute of Canada

  • Director and Chair of First Professional Liability Insurance Corp. (Barbados), the Appraisal Institute of Canada’s professional liability reinsurance company. Duties included investment of $70mm, risk evaluation, and stakeholder reporting (including government regulators, insured professionals and a professional governing body).

  • President and Board Member of the Red Deer Polytechnic (formerly Red Deer College) Foundation Board

  • Election Campaign Chair and Board Member for Federal and Municipal Political Parties

Awards:

• The Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) awarded the following to Craig:

  • Fellowship - 2014 (one of four recipients). This is the AIC’s highest honour.

  • President’s Citation - 2009 (one of three recipients).

  • W.C McCutcheon award in 2020 (the only recipient).

• These are the three most prestigious awards conferred by the AIC.
